Broadband connectivity on the rise

Broadband connectivity is expanding very fast all over the world. Broadband refers to an internet connection of 200 kbps in at least one direction, including ADSL, cable, satellite, fixed wireless, fibre, powerline and WiAMX. United States and China are the two largest markets in the world with 54.6 million and 46.6 million household connections respectively.
It is estimated that there are about 250 million broadband household connections throughout the world.
